Hi,

In our development system Samsung CPL-500 series printer got configured. I took device type as : SAPWIN

access method: C, device class: standard.

Hostprinter: Samsung CPL-500 Series as it is configured in OS level(windows).

First I tried print from O.S level it is working fine. From SAP level if I give print, spool request created . then I created output request. It is showing completed. But actually i am not getting any print out.I went to Events(F5) in the list it is showing possibly printed.

Is this bcoz of kernel and support packs problems.

ours is SAP ECC5.0, windows, Oracle 9.2.0 kernel 640/101 support packs Basis 640/19 Abap 640/19.

Please advise.

shrinivas.

Hi,

Change your Access metod to G:FrontEnd printing with Control technology.

Remove method C: to G: I am sure it will work.

Hi Santosh,

I did not see any access method with option G:

The following access methods are available in our DEV system.

C : Direct operating system call

E : External output management system

F : Printing on Front end computer

I : Archiving device.

L : Print Locally using LP/LPR

P : Device pool

S : Print using SAP protocol

U : Print using Berkeley protocol

X : SAP comm

Z : User defined formatting routine (old)

Please suggest.

Dear Srinivas,

First of all there is no need to do it via transaction SPAD. SAP comes with an already default printer configuration and that you can check in transaction SPAD .

Now if you want to set default printer for user proceed as follows.

Goto transaction SU01. Give user name> change and display>click default and then under spool control give the name of default SAP printer LP01(in output device) and select check box output immediately. Save and back.

Now goto user system> control pannel> printers> and select any printer as default(take the help of network guys)> I mean to say whatever default printer is set as default at OS level all SAP printout will go on that printer only.

This will surely work.

PS: Also check normal OS printout must come for SAP printing to take place.

Ashutosh
