Hello Experts,
My SAP systems (Solaris/Oracle (ABAP+JAVA) temp License has been expired three weeks back.
I got a new license key from SAP. Now i coulnot login into to my SAP system to apply license..
Hence i want to apply the license (Solaris - Abap + java) via Operating sytems level.
How to apply the license via Operating system level ? or is their any other method available?
Thanks
Thirumal
Hi,
Since the new license will be a digital license,it can't be installed from OS level. It should be installed only from SLICENSE tcode.
sap* should still have the permission to login into the system
Or else use saplicense -temp to install a temp license and then install the digital license from tcode SLICENSE

Hi there
In the old days you could use the saplicense command:
sidadm> saplicense -install
I don't think this still works with the new licenses, but you always can logon with sap* and install the license in transaction SLICENSE.
Best regards
Michael
Edit: for Java use the visual administrator ->server -> services -> Licensing Adapter -> Install License from File
