increase of number of characters

Hi all,

We have a requirement to increase the number of digits in

pricing , for example right now we can enter nine characters. How to make that to 10 digits or 11 digits.

Hi Sudha,

Do you want to say that you want have number range size from 9 to 10 to Sales Document / Delivery / Billing Document. If yes, then create one new Number Range (Transaction Code - VN01) with size limit to 10 for example 0000000001 to 2999999999 and assign this number range to you Sales Document type.

Please note in Standerd System it will allow till 10 Charecter.

Where you want to increase the digits? In sales order conditions or while creating condition records?

You can do it by editing the data type of that particular field. But that field may be used in many areas. It will effect wherever same data type used.

Also changing SAP standard settings is not advisable.

You can increase the length by using field exit by the help of a ABAPER.
