Dear All,
I'm trying to install J2ee 6.40 in my M/c.
Note : I have only 248MB Ram.
-
All the steps in the installtions are fine, at last when SAPInst tries to do Online Deployment..it fails with the message.
04/06/21 20:07:31 - ERROR : com.sap.engine.deploy.manager.DeployManagerException: ERROR: Cannot connect to Host: [bomwsap067] with UserName: [Administrator]
Check your Login Info.

I could understand that it "Might" be because of my RAM.
but i would like to know is.
Can I deploy SDM mannualy?
or is there some other way..other than increasing my RAM :-)..coz that will take quite some time and i have to make the server up and running in a short period of time.
if I dont deploy SDM..will the server not run..also if I could get any link for starting J2EE service and working with ..it would be greatful.
I can understand that 512MB RAM is needed, But i have also worked on Weblogic and other servers..with much lesser RAM than asked in the DOCS..
Thanks in Advance,
-Athur
Hi Athur,
we had the same problem. Check the weblog from Benny Schaich-Lebek on SDN

Your RAM is definitely not sufficent but this error has another reason.
Regards
Michael

Dear Michael,
Yes ur rite,
but I have gone through the weblogs.
and I have also successfully installed the WAS 6.40(with same RAM 240+..after all I belived it could be done )..
and I have come up with few results..which I'm 2 young to say as a bug in SAPInstallation Kit..
I have also posted it..
Kindly check.
Thanks and Regards,
-Athur
