I checked the java.log file and its still showing me the
Import Status: Loading 54733 of 95571
And the time it takes if very slow..
Can you please suggest what is going on and where should I concentrate on?

Normally it takes time.You can wait for the steps to complete.

Basically the import phase consumes loads of memory. Since we had 4 GB RAM, I think it was not sufficient for it to go.
So added 4GB more and it went through.
please check the vmstat 3 555 and check the swaps. You will come to know how much memory the process takes.
