General Exception in data provider

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to change my start Screen for that i use the T-code SMW0 to create an object & load the bmp or jpeg image.

when I import my Image it shows me an error General Exception in data provider.

System Info: SAP ECC5.0 IDES, Database SQL 2005 on Windows 2003 server

Anybody know the solution.

Hello . Are you try other Image ? try directly from drive:\ and check the perrmissions on file are good ? Are you Administrator on your PC?

P.S. check errors in SM21, and traces in ST11 directly after you see this error, also.

P.P.S try it from other PC (it may be GUI problem ...)

I will try it from another system. as i am the administrator of my desktop also I am trying to uplode a Image from Desktop so don't think that there is the problem b'coz of permisions.

May be problem is with GUI only.

Are you check traces and errors in ST11 and SM21 ? Regards.
