Scheduling Back in Portal

Dears,

We are using EP6.0 on Unix with Oracle database.

Issue is we have to take backup daily manually of this EP server by brtools.Now I want to know as on ABAP stack servers we use DB13,Is there any way to schedule the back up so that it get automatically

started and we don't have to schedule it manually daily.

Please suggest.

Hi ,

you can shedule backup using DB13. Select the day & than create & than give the period time 1(this mean backup repeat after every weak ) You can shedule for every day mon to sun once and select backup type (online or offline),give start time of backup.

I want to take back up of my Java server,So how can i take backup by DB13 as it does not contain ABAP stack and its not accessible by SAP GUI only by http://hostname:port/irj/portal

Hi,

For stand alone java systems we have take the backups from the brtools for database.

And also file system backup that most important is for sdm folder.Try to take the backup of

usr/sap folder.
