how can i test IDOC-File

Hi experts.

iam working on IDOC-File (FTP) scenario. right now i didnt set any FTP connection, but i want test my scenario .

for tetsing purspose can i give the SAP directory name in File Acess parameters (target directory, File name scheme)

please tell me the procedure to test the scenario even without having FTP connection.

Neeru,

If you want to test this scenario without FTP...for testing purpose you can change the FTP into NFS file system and give the location details in receiver file adapter.

And for triggering the idoc...goto we19 test tool..and trigger your corresponding Idoc. ( Idoc number can take from we02)

You can test without the FTP connection.

You can test by putting the files in the File share of XI.

TCODE : AL11

put in the temporary directory /tmp

In the receiver communication channel , mention the type as NFS not as FTP for the testing pupose and put the directory stucture as /tmp .

Note : You can choose any directory you want in AL11 . But make sure you access to put the files in the directory.
