Blank initial screen

Hi experts,

I have a simple iView with a Form containing a field of type "Text Editor". The user pastes text into the field, and then I display the text in another expression field after editing the text. The application does not contain any Data Services.

The problem is - upon initial load of the iView, the screen is blank. If I refresh the screen from the browser, the form appears. I need the form to appear initially.

As a test, I added a data service, and this fixed the problem. Except I don't need or want a data service.

Any ideas?

How about add a "Start" item, and return the "" empty string to display the form initially?

That didn't solve the issue, but thanks for the suggestion.

I solved the problem. I discovered that the screen will only initialize if you request some kind of data service, so I have a very simple query that populates a single hidden "expression" field. Works great.
