Planning Area & MPOS

Hi Everybody,

Please tell me as to what is the basic and foremost difference between Planning Area and MPOS?

AND

Can Planning Area have more characteristics than MPOS?

Hi,

Planning area is only used to store your keyfigure values for your CVC what you defined in your MPOS.

Generally speaking planning area is the space where you can store your data with refence to you MPOS.

The CVC value will stored at your MPOS and the corresponding keyfigure values stored at your planning area.

Hi,

Characteristci are created in MPOS. key figures are created in Planning Area.

MPOS creation is priro step before cretaing Planning Area. Once you create MPOS and caativate it infocube gets generated in the backend.

In planning area you are defining key figures to store data against CVCs ( characteristic comibinations ) as per MPOS.
