Can anyone please tell me how to insert an excel spreadsheet in a word document as a link when both the documents are stored in Solution Manager.
Thanks
Regards
Paramita
Hi Paramita,
Go to the properties of the file you want to link your word document to.
There you will find a button "Generate Document URL (F9)". Clicking this button will buffer the URL into clipboard.
Then you open your Word document in edit mode and paste the URL there.
When you select this link later it will open an Internet Explorer session with the Excel document in read-mode.
For this scenario to work you will need to activate the correct ICF service.

Valdecir

Hi,
One solution is to generate a document URL for the Excel sheet and then pasting this URL into the Word document. Of course then the document will be opened in Internet Explorer and in display mode only.
This solution requires that you activate service /default_host/sap/bc/solman/SolmanDocuments in SICF.
