PIOS driver for Symbol MC70

Is there a PIOS driver for the Symbol MC70 for MI 7.1? I know there was drivers for previous versions of MI. Are these still usable for 7.1 or are there a lot of differences in 7.1 and 7.0 and 2.4 drivers?

Hi Brian,

I´m not sure if there is a PIOS driver available for the symbol MC70. But I doubt that this already happened.

The good thing is that one customer had a similar issue with another symbol.They are now using the standard java apis provided for their scanner. They basically created an additional dc of type "external library" and put the java api jars to this DC. Using this mechanism they were able to use the apis in their service or UI components. At runtime they just put the jar files to the lib folder of the client.

This is working fine for them.

Thanks. This isn't the best answer, since that means the solution is more device specific, which is what PIOS is supposed to solve, but if there is no other option...
