We make extensive use of Sap Web dispatchers in our DMZ to allow external access to our applications. So far we have only used this on NW2004s ABAP based systems.
We now have a J2EE based website that we need to make available to external partners. Can the SAP Web Dispatcher service a NW04s J2EE?
How would the profile look for the redirect and what port
would the profile point to? Is it still the message server port ?
We currently use the redirect to point to a SICF based web service, with Java it would be a J2EE URL such as http://server_name:50000/web/content.html
Can anyone show me an example of a Web Dispatcher profile that would redirect to a J2EE page?
Many Thanks!!!!
Don
Hi Donald,
The SAP Web Dispatcher can very well be used for a single Java-stack. Indeed you still point to the Message Server as usual and can use redirecting. A small sample of the most important profile parameters in that case:
SAPSYSTEM = <sys#> SAPSYSTEMNAME = <SID> rdisp/mshost = yourhost.yourdomain.com ms/http_port = 8112 ms/https_port= 443 icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8000 icm/server_port_2 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=9000, TIMEOUT=900 icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/, TO=/irj/portal, HOST=yourhost.yourcountry.yourdomain.com, PORT=50200
This should do the trick.
Regards,
Henk.
