Hi,
I am new to MDM, I have an overview of MDM components.
Can anyone please tell me the process to structure an Unstructred data.
Regards,
Varun
Hi Varun,
Structuring of data in MDM is done through Data modelling of the master data.
- In MDM master data is stored in Tables and fields so there is a structured hierarchy in which data is stored Repository level->Tables->Fields.
You can refer the link to get a clearer understanding on this
- Besides the connventional way of storing data,MDM offer a structured way by providing differnt table types such as hierarchy,Lookup,Taxonomy relationship etc.
- Also there are a number of data types which can be used for the fields which are designed to store various types of master data such as Boolean data, txt and txt large time stamp etc.
- Not just the storing of data, but alos the retrival of data and the manipulation or enhancemnet of data are taken care in a very effective way in MDM by using the differnt features of MDM like Validations,Assignments,Workflows etc.
Hope It Helped,
Kindly Reward Points if found useful
Thanks & Regards

Hi Varun,
In MDM, we transform raw data into rich data by storing it in tables in a structured manner.
Storing of data into tables is a part of data modeling. It is done in MDM Console.
For this, please refer the link below:
Hope it will help you.
