Planning Object Structure is one of the component of Planning Area, like Storage bucket profie, Key figs etc.
So, Planning Area will always have same no. of Characteristics as that of the Planning Object Structure.

Hi,
Planning area is only used to store your data for the keyfigures.
Generally speaking planning area is the space where you can store your data with refence to you MPOS.
The CVC value will stored at your MPOS and the corresponding keyfigure values stored at your planning area.
I hope you understand better.

Prabhu
