replenishment delivery

what is Replenishment delivery?

Kindly clarifyon this.

Hi,

Replenishment delivery is pertaining to the STO process.....

During normal sales order you create a delivery for the customer with delivery type LF similarly replenishment delivery is used for STO process (Stock Transfer Order) which is carried out between two plants of different company codes/plants within same company code/between storage locations.....

Eg. You have a materal ABC which is manufactured in two different plants (say 1000 & 2000) of the same company code.

At plant 1000 they are short of stock for the material ABC and hence they carry yout the Stock Transfer Process for that material from plant 2000.. Sinbce its not a normal sale they can't use the delivery type LF, they have to use some other delivery type which suits the process of STO and hence the Replenishment Delivery type Nl/NLC comes into the picture and there are certaining settings regarding the STO process whish needs to be configured before carriying out the process

The replenishment delivery (NL/NLC) will have some control parameters defined for that particular STO process like normal delivery (LF) for sales delivery..........
