In Employee Self Service i am Getting this Error,overview page is also not displayed.

what user name did you use in JCo??? and the user you made can you give me some insight steps on it...

i mean the user is refernce user, dialuge user or what user.....

My basis team is using their own user name in JCO, bcoz of which only data relating to their user name is showing in ESS / MSS for all employees of PORTAL

also please let me know which profile you used for the user of JCO.

We get this problem when the Portal has been "up" for some time.

Temporary fix is to restart the Java server.....

Anyone know if this is a bug and is there an SAP Note to fix it... if so please post the note number.

make sure for the user whom you are trying to run this ess screen has a valid id in

IT105 subtype 1 i.e his end date must be 31.12.9999

is that a new server ? or r u on a prd server? is it happening only for one user?

hi,

i am getting the same error.. for only few of the user. everything is maitianed from backend. SAP_employee_erp role is also assigned..

Still its showing the same error..

Assign role SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP (Composite role) to the ESS user in R/3. Also, check the permissions in portal.

usually this error ensues when JCO connections are not set properly, Please check them in SLD/

Also check you are on the right versions of front end and backend.
