Solution Manager 7.0 Media Download !

Hi All,

I am trying to download the the Media for Solman 7.0 Installation, but when I search for DVD's on Service Marketplace, I am not able to see any DVD's which are related for Installation like Installation Master, Nw SR3 Kernel, Export DVD's etc etc..

I could see in the dowload section of SM 7.0 are below:

I believe there are only Support Packs

Please let me know the exact place where I shall have the acces to the SAP DVD's for Installation.

I have S-User ID which have the authorizations to download, so that is not the problem.

If you have not ordered explicitly you need to do that since you need a new installation number for this system.

Check note 628901 - Order SAP Solution Manager or its installation number

Thanks for the info, do I need to order for that ? Is it not available for download for the customers who buy SAP products ?

How about the ECC, NW, EP & BI DVD's ?

As said - it´s because you need a separate installation number. If you have an e. g. Netweaver contract you get several installation numbers but none for SolMan automatically. You have to order that separately.

It´s basically a fax that you sign, send there and latest on the other day you have a number and hence you will see in http://service.sap.com/installations --> Technology Components the Solution Manager

Hi Markus thanks for the inputs.

How about the SAP S/W for ECC, NW, EP & BI ? Do I need to follow the same process of Ordering ? When I checked the downloads on ERP I am not able to see the DVD's like Installation Master etc etc..

Can you please le me know about this.

No - those are attached to your contract - if you see them, you can download them.

Hi Markus when I am trying to Order the SM 7.0 in Service Marketplace it says "you don't have any installations at place"

At this point what is the solution for this ? Can you please let me know.

Please read the note I posted:

628901 - Order SAP Solution Manager or its installation number

It says:

<...>

You can order SAP Solution Manager via the standard process described in note 925690.

<...>

However, you're right - all subsequent notes point to

http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager --> Order Information. That "Order Information" link on is gone.

I suggest you simply create an OSS call under XX-SER-GEN-CONTR and let them create you an installation number.

Hi Markus

Thanks for the guiding the process, I could see the Installation Media now in Service Marketplace now.

Problem is resolved by opening the OSS ticket to SAP requesting the Installaion Number, they sent one Installation Form, I filled it out and send them back. In 2 hours I could see the Installation Media for all the SAP Licenses we have.
