I have changed the MAIL HOST in the SMTP CONNECTION to smtp.mch-dbci and now the message is the following:

Message cannot currently be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error

Definition

A message was sent by the application. The status of the message is 'Waiting for Retry'.

Use

The message has already been recorded by the SAPconnect send process and sent externally. An error occurred during the transmission, which may only be temporary. The corresponding node in the SAPconnect administration contains a specified maximum wait time for a send retry. During this wait time, SAPconnect keeps trying to send the message at fixed time intervals. If the wait time has passed, the message is given the status 'Errors'.

The wait time begins the moment when a message on the corresponding node first encounters a temporary error. This time is also the time used for messages sent later. If the wait time has passed, all messages encountering a temporary error on this node are set to status 'Errors' directly. Only when a message has been sent over this node successfully (thereby correcting a temporary error), does the retry process become active again for this node.

I think that problem is with the SMTP service.

In HP-UX I need to active any services?

I have a question...

In the instance profile the values was differents.

Is possible that this message "No delivery to luis080175 @ hotmail.com, invalid recipient address" is because the values was differents?

rdisp/start_icman = true

icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=1080

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,PORT=1443

icm/server_port_2 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=180

icm/server_port_3 = PROT=SMTP,PORT=25001,TIMEOUT=180

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 = *:25000;

is/SMTP/virt_host_1 = *:25001;

ICM/Server_port_0 in this Port=80$$ what ever the port you are using

but for you its showing 1080 so check that and correct it

hi,

generally this problem will come in two cases

1. if default domain is not maintained in SCOT or email ID is not maintained in su01

2. if #domain.com is not maintained in ecahnge server

i think case 2 is more applicable

please ask your network team to add the recepient domain in exchange server

what version of SAP are you using?...

If 4.6c or previous, follow,

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_di46c2/helpdata/EN/6c/69c54b418d11d1896e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm

Otherwise, is integrated with SAP and these config is not required.

Hi.

I am working with the send of messages using the SMTP SAP.

I have inseted the MLUNXSND, MLSOMADM, MLSOMAIL, MAILGW.INI In the path /sapmnt/SID/exe .

I have inserted in the instance profile the following parameters:

icm/server_port_1 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=180

is/SMTP/virt_host_0 *:25000;

rdisp/start_icman true

icm/server_port_2 PROT=SMTP,PORT=25001,TIMEOUT=180

is/SMTP/virt_host_1 *:25001;

In the SCOT transaction I have created a nodo SMTP and the SMTP CONECTION I have inserted the IP Address in the field MAIL HOST and the MAIL PORT I have inserted 25.

Did you enable the node?... just open the SMTP and click on "Node in use"

Hola Luis,

Basically, check that the SMTP Relay Agent in Exchange has the IP Address of the SAP System you're sending the mail from.

Also make sure that the Sending User has an Email address populated in SU01.

One thing caught my attention...

luis080175#domain.com

is it # or @?

Juan
