Business Processes and Necessary System Environment
With SAP ERP Corporate Services, your organization can lower the cost and reduce the risk of your international business by establishing a single, corporatewide standard for trade processes across SAP and non-SAP systems.
You can:
*
Secure global supply chains
*
Connect and communicate with government systems
*
Promote the use of shared data
*
Higher level of flexibility to adapt the business to changing needs
SAP Global Trade Services
As a result, you can replace high-maintenance manual processes -- and provide one global view of trade activities across the enterprise.
You can enhance global trade services by using the SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) composite application, part of the SAP xApps family of composite applications.
SAP GTS automates and streamlines complex cross-border trade processes and helps you manage international trade risks through support for four major business processes: export management, import management, trade preference management, and restitution management.

Hi
The industry defines this type of business as business where purchasing and sales are carried out in parallel, in the same trading department. For example, you get a sales order from a customer, search for the best vendor to fulfil the customer's requirements, and issue a purchase order, all in one transaction. You coordinate shipping, transportation, and customs clearance for the goods. The vendor then delivers the goods directly to the customer. The trading company gets an invoice from the vendor, and bills the customer. Finally, you receive payment from the customer and make a payment to the vendor.
