i want to confirm that why we create loopback adapter before installation.

Hi,

when the cable plug in to network adapter then only local area connection should enable other wise it will be disable thats why we install the dummy network adapter i.e microsoft look adapter In latest windows o/s

If u do not need this to communicate with other systems, and if it is for a standalone server we can use the microsoft's loopback adapter concept,

Hi,

if you are installing SAP on a standalone server which is not in network so communication is not possible.

for that you need to install loopback adapter. Local TCP/IP communication done via the loopback adapter.
