Hi,
Can any one explain me what is the meaning of archiving the sales order.

Archiving of Sales Order will refer to deteleting the Data from Data Base. Once the Data is archived, it will not be available.
However, as per my understanding, if sales Order have had a subsequent activity, it may not be possible to archive, unless the subsequent activities are archived.

it means deleted from the database.
it might happen that data is taken into dummy server and deleted from main server.
in both the cases it is called 'data archived'.
