WebGUI won't work

Afternoon all.

I'm having some serious problems with the WebGUI and ITS in general. I need to get it working for portals and in particular ESS, but I'm having very little luck. Versions in question: EP 6.0 (I think SP13), WebAS 6.40 (and so integrated ITS 6.40), and the R/3 system is patched to the hilt.

So. I can get the logon page to appear:

But when I log on with my username and password, things go a little wrong...:

I don't know what it's supposed to be trying to say after "The specified input file does" but I can only guess at "not exist". Beyond that I'm totally clueless as to what's going on. I've had a look in ST22 and there's no shortdump; in SM21 I have "The user session has been terminated due to an error in the conversion of the protocol from SAPdiag to HTML." and a message to check previous log entries for the reason for the error (but there aren't any previous log entries). In ST11 I see all sorts of stuff:

Here's the full version of that log if it's necessary:

http://www.marktwo.co.uk/dev_w0.txt

Now, I don't know if I should be able to or not, but I can't find a file called generator.html anywhere in the filesystem (I would suggest that I shouldn't be able to, it should be in the database).

Does anyone have any idea what I might have missed?

Turns out that when you publish the WebGUI service you have to do right-click, Publish, Complete Service - just going through the menu at the top and then clicking on the publish button isn't enough. It might be something to do with whether it's the first Internet Service you've published or something like that, not sure. Anyway, it's fixed now.

Hello Robert,

yes, "Utilities > Publish" is equivalent to the "Publish" you get on a specific object's context menu (or, in the case of the service's root node, to "Publish > Service File"). If you want to check the publishing status, you can always navigate to any object inside the service's tree, double click the object's name and check the text next to the object's name at the top of the right hand subscreen. You can also double click that publishing information for detailed information on the last publishing date and publishing locations.

Regards,

Jan

I should also point out that I've released absolutely everything except for SAPconnect(SMTP) in SICF, and I've been into SE80 and published WEBGUI, SYSTEM and SHUFFLER to the INTERNAL site.
