Changing the owner for a job

hi,

I have job running on a particular user id.

Pls tell me the steps to change the owner of the job

You can do two things... you can change the user which the step use or you can copy the job to change the owner to youself.

The first one.. Search for the job at SM37 (job need to be on release or schedule status) -> tick the job and click on change -> go to steps tab and change the user there.

Basically if the user who created the job is deleted the job won't be affected but the steps will require a valid user with valid authorizations.

The second one, Search for the job in SM37 (again job need to be on release or schedule status) -> tick the job and copy it. Once you have tested that the job is fine, delete the old job.

The new job will be created under your name, review that the steps has a valid user.
