GR with Inbound delivery and PO

Hello all,

We have scenario in which we are receiving the goods back into the warehouse after manufacturing. i would like to know whether it shoud be called as GR against Inbound deliveries or should it be called GR against purchase order. also, could anyone explain me about the difference between GR against inbound deliveries and GR against MIGO.

Hi,

If the material is getting manafactured at your plant and you are storing the manafactured goods then it will be GR against a production order.

GR against inbound delivery : Inbound delivery is a document which gets automatically created in your system when a vendor sends you shipping notification via EDI. Physically, when the vendor has shipped goods from his site.Once the inbound delivery is created you can post the GR against it when the material finally arrives at ur site.

Prerequisite for inbound delivery creation: Confirmation control key should be present in the PO.

GR against purchase order: It is a direct receipt of goods against the PO once the material arrives at ur plant.
