Hi all,
Is it possible to configure SSO (by logon ticket - MYSAPSSO2) between two J2EE engines? (one is 6.40 and the other is 7.00).
The userID on each server is different.
I know that for SSO between Portal->ABAP a reference R3 system can be used even if the userID is different but what about two J2EE engines?

Hi!
A prerequisite for using SSO via SAP Logon Ticket is that you have identical UserIDs in all systems. The ABAP Reference system does not help here really.
I've accompanied many portal projects and in all these projects we made this experience. The only way I know to use secure(!) SSO with different User IDs is X.509 client certificates. But that's not very cheap.
Hope this helps.

Volker
