Hi

The realisation phase of ASAP methodology in the implementation process has two phases ie., Baseline configuration and Final configuration

Base line configuration is the process of configuring the SAP system as per the Blue Print for the Standard functionalities.

Final Configuration phase involves the activities like

- Enhancements (userexits etc.,)

- Preparation of Custom Reports as per the user requirements

- Authorisations

Thanks,

Ravi

Baseline configuration and final configuration is sub phase in realization phase.

B.config:implement the scenarios as per blue prints whicever is possible in standard SAP without modifications.in this process u can complete upto 60-70% of configurations. This will be done in final configuraion.

Final confi:But in some cases its not possible in SAP.So definately u hacve to do some customization using some user exits. This will be done in final configuraion.

Hi,

Base line configuration means configuring the system with the available standard functionality,In alomost all the projects standard functionality suits their requirements to 60 to 80 % or more.

If the standard functionality doesnt suit thier business process we hav to do some customization using userexits or some other modifications.

So if we finish baseline and customization then we can say it final configuration is done.

Hi Anand,

Base line and Final config is the third phase in ASAP methadology. The purpose of this phase is to implement all the business & process requirements based on business blue print. You customize the system step by step in 2 work packages: Base Line Configuration & Final Configuration.

- Base Line Configuration: this phase comprises the priority requirements of the enterprise, ensuring that they can be implemented quickly. This phase can be completed without programming or enhancements to SAP systems.

- Final Configuration: in this phase you confirm that all your requirements are met in the R/3 system. Final configuration is a transportation process that expands that base line solution.

Amit.

Dear Kesarla,

Baseline configuration is nothing but a Org Structure Definition & Assignment.

For eg..In Sales Point View Creation of Sales Org, Dis. Chl, Div, Shipping Point, etc..
