sap license

Hi Friends,

I performed system copy from PRD to QAS now every thing is fine. I am able to login in client 000 using SAP*,I aplied for license on SAP market place. But when i am trying to install the new license provided by SAP ,I am getting a error message invalid license key.

I am working on SAP R/3 4.7 Oracle 9 & AIX operating system.

Hi Gopal,

Please delete table MLICHECK as explained in note 111563. After that, try to install the license again.

When you requested the license in SAP Service Marketplace, have you requested to release 470 and basis release 620?

Please also check that the hardware key match to the output of "saplicense -get".

And also please read the note 94998 to install correct license for your component and stacks(i mean dual or standalone stack)

Please let me know if still issue persists.

Thanks for fastest reply.

when i run slicense it shows H/w key & in installation No. tab it shows initial .Yes i select QAS system on sap market place & installation no showed automaticaly.

Hi,

first execute saplicense -show on your QAS server and provide the result.

also check Note 131162 - Installation number is INITIAL

Hi,

You have to apply for the "Changing or Requesting a License Key for an Existing System" on SMP & you have to provide the Hardware Number.

You will get the document regarding Requesting license on

At OS level you will get the harware number using the command SAPLICENSE -SHOW

I execute the command salicense -show & i get the following result.

Hi Gopal,

Where's your QAS license ? Don't see that on your output though. Have you requested the new license based on the machine hardware key ?

Hi victor,

I have already requested for license & i get the new license but i am getting error when i am installing the new license.I built a TEST server (qas) using PRD database (system copy).

first of all delete the license from QAS server for PRD system.

then after restart the system and install the license for QAS server.

I have already try to delete the license but user SAP* unable to delete the license & other user DDIC unable to login in SAP.

Hi,

first of all check the hardware key from OS level using following command.

saplicense -get

check the hardware key in your license script.
