hi,

Source inspection process starts right from q-info record of the material and the vendors. Supply relationships shall be maintained in the Q-info record to monitor the source inspection of supplies. Once the purchase order is made with a specific delivery date, a source inspection lot can be created by triggering a background job in the system. Based on the lead-time mentioned in q-info record, the inspection lot gets automatically created. Inspection results shall be recorded and usage decision shall be made on the lot. If the UD code is OK, then the despatch clearance is given to the supplier.

it sounds like you have the process correct. So what does your planning department need to know?

They should see an open purchase order.

Hi ,

Ur requirement is not clear, Source inspection lot is manualy created inspection lot prior to goods receipt so there will not be any stockposting possible for this source inspection lot .

If planning dept want to know about stock posting they can see open purcase order as rightly said by craig.

Other way again create inspection lot for this purchase order when actual goods receipt is made for this u should not activate the indicator - 'source inspection no' in the quality info record
