Hi,

We are going for testing..Most of my scenario includes,IDOC,File,JMS(MQ)(With Adapter module as well).

My problem is....we have a n XI System..which is piontig to SAP ECC(Client 200).

now,our client wants to test our XI System with SAP ECC(Client 201)..

what are the major changes we need to do fo this...

please do remember that XI System is not changig...only client for ECC is changing...

what are the changes we need to do....SLD,IR,ID,etc

SLD - Technical System for SAP ECC must be existing already. Just create a new Business System

IR - No change

ID - Cpmplete new development would be required. Import the BS created in SLD and create communication channels there. Then create all the pipeline steps.

Hi,

In SLD goto Technical System which u configured with 200 client-select Clients TAB--

Add New Client 201 and Save it

Now create the Business system corresponding to the TS and respective Client 201

hi,

IN SLD just change the client number in the business system

and in the RFC destinations change the log on details..pointing to the new client...and then while creating ports in xi make sure that they point to the correct RFC destination.

Some thoughts to assist

General changes

SLD

A new Technical System and a new Business System will need to be created for ECC client 201

SAP

You may have set up some interface related RFC connection gateways to talk to the XI systems. These destinations may need to be reregistered?

XI

Similar to SAP, any interface related RFC connections in the Communication Channels (Sender) will need to be created with new login details. Also you may have some Receiver RFC adapters so you can copy these and create new logon details.

ALE changes

SAP Systems

Partner profiles etc are cross client and do not require changing

Partner Profiles (WE20) will need revisiting for inbound / outbound messages

XI

Port Maintenance in IDoc Adapter (IDX1)

The specified port is connected to a client and an RFC destination

Recommended format eg SAPECC_200

Create a link to the new client say SAPECC_201 and new RFC destination with the correct client logon details

JMS and File

No change if the JMS and File adapters are connecting to third party servers
