OSS note indicates : If you don't want to use the new BEx Web functionality, you can still use BEx Web 3.5 Runtime that is running only with Usage Type AS-ABAP. Has anyone figured out how to do this?
Managment has decided that we will not move ahead with portal so we are trying to standardize the web reporting on the 3.5 ABAP view which had the icon for drill down and across available. Our last issue is being able to run from Version 7 BEX Analyzer to the web and get this view. I know we can change the standard web template via SPRO but cannot use our 3.5 web template. Looks like you have to upgrade your 3.5 web template to a v7 template but are all the same objects in 3.5 still available? Especially the navigation panel with the drill down and across. Is there another means of remaining with the ABAP web presentation?
