Hi,

Based on the java language most of the XI components developed. The web applications developed from java language, so to run those it needs Java Engine.

Hi,

Java is an open source technology and proven technology for Web application. I think you know as a java developer.

Previously SAP used SAP-GUI tool to connect to SAP Systems. If java is used as a web application you can acess your sap systems from the internet explorer itself.

From jsps you are directly connecting to your EP or XI or BI systems.

In XI some of the components are build on Java Technology.

so SAP requires both java engine and abap engine.

The XI tool is build using java swings.

Thanks,
