How to STOP P.Req Publication from APO to R/3

Former Member

Dear All,

Some Product Locations existed in APO is not set to publish the transactinal data to R/3. This Master data is relevant for DP, but not for SNP.

When we run the Network Heuristics, Purchase Requstions are created ( because of some demand based on saftey stock setup ). When publishing this Data, CIF gives an error message "No active integration Model exist". We have not actived CIF Postprocessing.

Is there any way to prevent this publication???

Regards,

Raghu.

There is capability to distinctly block publications at location level in /SAPAPO/CIFDISTR table however you may not be able to do this at a product level. One strategy could be to come up with a list of product locations that you want excluded in Heuristics and use the exclusion list on the selection ID or the selection you are using for network heuristics. Or you can run a followup job after Heuristics to get rid of the purchase reqs.

One more way would be to set stock transfer horizon to 999 (since it typically does not get updated by CIF runs) at source location.

Hi Srinivas,

Thanks for the reply, The first two options you specified may not work becasue the distrubution list works only at Location level and Network Heuristics can run only at Product Level. So these two methods may not solve the issue.

The Last two options may work, to have followup job to delete the data or by spefiyting the stock transfer horizion to 999.

But i don't think there is any better way, do you think...

Raghu.

HI Raghu.

You could maintain the SDP relevance field (TS_SDP_USE) in the production location master in APO. This will allow you to set each material/location for relevance for DP and/or SNP planning.

Field is on the 1st Properties tab of the Product/Location master.

Hope this helps.Mark.

Hi,

I have already checked this, But this setting is at Product level, not at Product/Location Level.

Also there is no way we can setup " Relevant for DP and Not Relevant for sNP ".

Hi Raghu.

Another possible approach could be to maintain an SNP Planner, e.g., 999 - Not Planned in SNP, and assign it to required Product/Locations.

Selections can then be maintained that exclude materials with 999 SNP planner which can subsequently be used in your heuristics run.
