Dear All,
We want to know what are all the roles need to be assigned to the user in the backend to access the RFC's in VC.
Thanks..
Hi Krishnaveni,
As per m,y knowledge to access the data from the backend in VC you do not require any role assigning in VC perspective but all those things have to be done in portal.
Just go through the link:
This will give the steps.
After creation of the system you have to do some steps in VC
1.> open the model and choose data service
2.> there you can find the drop down of all the system aliases.Select the system alias name which you have created and then you can find all the data services.
3.> just drag in your board and complete the task.
And I hope it will be helpful for you.

Nutan

Hi,
Tell me if this is right: you want to access the bapis from an R/3 system in VC as web services, is this correct?
If yes, you can create an [SAP system|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/6068] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]; in the portal, and find that system in VC; and consume the web services (bapis.) If this is what you're looking for, you dont have to assign any more roles to the user.
If not, please explain more.
>roles need to be assigned to the user in the backend to access the RFC's in VC.
Which user are you referring to?
PS: you can only assign roles to the portal users.

Vani

Thanks a lot for your reply.
We have created SAP System in portal and done the user mapping also.
Can you please help us in finding out the exact required authorization in the backend system to access a Visual Composer report designed to call a ABAP system RFC?
We tried giving S_RFC_ACL but not worked well.
Any suggestions..
Thanks..
Hi Krishnaveni,
From what i can see, you want VC to call a bapi, is it right? If yes, then all you need to do is, [create an rfc destination|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0805674-71bc-2a10-958b-ef88e3c954f8] for your R/3 system in http://<server>:<port>/nwa
Please follow the pdf in the link.
If this is not your requirement, please explain more.
Let me know if it helps; and no need to assign any role to the user to access this
Regards,
Vani
Hi,
Please ignore my previous reply. I thought it was VC7.1, sorry.
Just the portal system needs to be created for VC7.0
1. Can you chk the usermapping once again? Which user type have you given? "admin, user"?
2. No need to assign any role to the user.
You should be able to access all the bapis in VC.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Vani
