Sales Order has three types of data:
1. Header data
2. Item data
3. Schedule line data.
Schedule line data:
When we create a sales order, at the item level an item category is determined & based on the following, the schedule line is determined:
Item Category + MRP Type = Schedule line.
{Item category is fetched as per the following:
Sales Doc + Item Cat Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Cat = Item Category}
MRP type is fetched from the material master - MRP1 screen.
Definition: A schedule line can be defined as the division of an item with regards to Delivery date & quantity.
Without a schedule line no item can be delivered.
Double click on the line item in the sales order - go to schedule line. Here system will show the following:
Delivery Date............Order Qty............Rounded Qty...............Confirmed Qty
28.07.2008...................10...........................10..............................10
The above scenario will be for a sales order created on 28.07.2008 for an item for 10 Quantities.
Whenever you create a delivery the system checks if there is atleast a single quantity in the confirmed quantity field on the date on which the delivery is being created.
The table for schedule line is VBEP.
1. In short the schedule line data controls the delivery function of an item.
2. The AVC & TOR settings can be fine tuned at the schedule line level.
3. It is the schedule line from where the AVC & TOR takes place.
4. The movement type is fetched from the schedule line to be used while doing the delivery & PGI.
