SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version installatin completes in a few minutes

Hi Experts,

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version installation completes on my Win XP SP2 in 2-3 minutes ( which I think should take much more longer than this) . After this applicatin server does not start n remains RED stating database instance could not start.

Plz advice how to fix this installation problem so that it may be installed properly.

Hi,

You have not installed the system properly.Read the installation guide and install it again.

Do not install on win xp.Do it on win 2003.

Start sapinst from the installation master

choose sapsystems ABAP Systems

chose central instance after that install database instance and complete your installation.It will take hours for completion.

Hi!

I'm facing excactly the same problem. Registry is clean, nothing which points on sapdb... but sabdb won't install. Only the folder NSP appears, without sapdb...

Any new hints or experiences about this problem?
