Partner determination, account determination in SAP SD

Hi can anyone please explain me what are partner determination and account determination in SD along with some links .

Help would be really appreciated.

Hi Adi,

when you create a CMR the four partner functions SP,SH,BP,and PY are automatically defaulted. But even there is a need to have more partner functions when creating a sale order or a CMR like the sales employee creating the sales order or Farwarding agent etc.so this all is controlled by Partner determination procedure.

account determination is also a determination technique based on which currect G/L accounts are picked. say ur export sales should go to one revenue a/c and domestic sale should go to other is all determined by a/c determination.

Hi,

When we intend to have partner functions viz sold to party, ship to party etc,for customer master, sales doc and sales doc item etc an appropriate partner determination procedure need to be defined and assigned to account groups and document types.

Better SAP help will give you a deatiled eloboration.
