Hello Moshe,

note 747424 describes that:

...

As of Basis 6.40, the report SAPGUI_VERSION is delivered. You can use

the customer exit EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001 to activate this report.

(SUBMIT SAPGUI_VERSION AND RETURN)

All logons are then entered with the terminal ID, the user ID, the SAP

GUI version and the patch level.

You can use the report SAPGUI_VERSION_REPORT for the evaluation.

These reports serve only as an example of how the interfaces for

evaluating the version information are to be called. They are not

intended to be used in production operation (unsuitable database

implementation).

These reports are missing in 7.00, but the source code is attached to

this note.

...

Hello

I have found the following SAP Notes on this issue

1. SAPNote 591681 - GUI_PATCHLEVEL for the application server

[https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=591681]

2. SAPNote 748424 - Evaluation of SAP GUI versions and patches

[https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=748424]

3. SAPNote 1050980 - Enhancements for SAP GUI

[https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1050980]

Note 591610 is only up to 610 release.

As I am on NW2004s, it seems I cannot implement note 748424.

I would be able to implement note 1050980 if I upgraded the kernel to revision 176.

The part that I fell would me most useful from note 1050980 is:

Enhancement 6

Transfer of the browser, GuiXT, Jdk and Office version to the application server.

Enhancement 6 is available with patch level

700 176

701 9

710 120

711 8

Even with this note 1050980, it is unclear whether the desired information can be retrieved using a report such as these SAPGUI_VERSION or SAPGUI_VERSION_REPORT from note 748424.

Best Regards

Hello Dear Moshe Friedman. You can check the Gui versions ON R3 level. But for this you need for example read the Rules on this forum.... As i can see you only can create questions and not read the rules and point system on this..... Best for if you read it ....

About your question :

go to SM51, press ctrlshiftf7, after press ctrl+f8

add field gui version, you can see gui versions of logged users on the selected Application Server, check also on other AS with same. Regards.

Hi

I donot think that there is any report to check the Gui version.

But on your workstation you can check the SAP Gui version.

Just try this:

Click on the left top corner of SAP Logon Pad. A menu would pop up.

Go to "About SAP Logon"

You would get another window which would specify the SAP Gui version and Patch level,
