text determination

Hi all,

If the text type is copied will the message attached to it will also be copied?

I gave a text type and message in customer master, the message is not appearing in Sales order.

What are the required settings

Dear Sudha,

Please do the text determination for sales documents also,

While doing text determination for sales documents you do these settings you can get the customer master text in to the sales order.

-->Go to VOTXN transaction

-->Define text type (Text ID)

-->Define the access sequence for that

-->In the access sequence you put KNA1 table as text object for the Sales document text ID.

-->Assign that access sequence to the sales order text ID

Now you can able to get the customer text in the sales order

1) My text types are: Z005 Lorry number and 0012 shipping instructions

2) Then I defined a procedure 55 for which IDs and access sequences are assigned. I did not check 'reference' check box

3) In the access sequence I gave KNVV for which text IDs are created and assigned.

4) I also gave requirement '1"

What else I have to assign still?

I didnot get you about this where you have assigned !!

But make sure that you alredy done the Text detrmination for the customer then you have maintained the text in the customer master.

Yes. That is Sales ID texts

Can you explain the importance of reference box? There is not much in Help

I selected Sales and Distribution of Customer, that's why I selected KNVV

There is a column in the extreme right for 'requirement.

But make sure that you alredy done the Text detrmination for the customer then you have maintained the text in the customer master.

Now my doubt is we give some description to the text type in customer order. For example: There is Text ID: Lorry number- We gave AP 9 L4561 in customer master record.

Will the whole thing ' Lorry number as well as number it self will be copied to sales order?
