Hi,

I think you are setting the JAVA_HOME incorrectly.

Try this

Variable name =JAVA_HOME

Value= C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_04

Note: The JRE version may be differ in your case

Don't put bin after Jre**

Hope this will help you.

Hi,

can you please confirm below things :--

what Java path you define?

Are you getting result in Command prompt on putting: Javac command.

Is any Anti virus is running on that server ? if yes which one?

Hi Gyan Prakash,

Java has been installed in my system in the C dirve. So the path is like "C:
Java_xx..\bin". I put this in JAVA_HOME variable value in User variable and as well as System Variables. I am getting result even if i type the java or javac command in command prompt. I don't have any Anti virus installed in my system since i just formatted it.

After that I started the SAPINST.EXE file. but getting error.

help me

thanks

Hi,

1) Once again we will try to install from starting

2) Format the hard disk

3) keep partitions like for C: 20GB and 😧 270GB

4) In C:\ Install 2003 server

5) In D:\ keep SAP ECC6.0 dump

6) now start oracle installation. Once Oracle installed

7) Then Install Java and then Java path u copy it at environment variable.(JAVA_HOME)

😎 Now start SAP ECC6.0 installation setup.exe

9) Now I am thinking every thing must run fine......

Hi All,

As you all said , I tried with setting the path and created the JAVA_HOME and set the java bin path to that variables. But ! Still I am getting the problem with not opening the GUI window.

Can anyone give me suggestion. I am using the Windows 2003 Server Web Edition, Will it be a problem for that ?

Thanks

Hi Suresh,

my computer --> properties --> Advanced --> Environment variables -->user variables --> select new --> type variable name as JAVA_HOME and variable value as c:\j2sdk1.4.2.13\ .

Also check, if CPIC_MAX_CONV is there in system variables then just edit the value else just select new under system variables and type the variable name and give the value as 200.

Set the variable name as path under system variable and in place of the value just type these two i.e, c:\program files\CA\SC\CAWIN\ and the java path

Further with Abinash's reply...

you have to set your path environment also ...

my computer --> properties --> Advanced --> Environment variables -> user variables -> selct "path" variable

click edit and add Java bin path

i.e. c:\j2sdk1.4.2.13\bin

Note Dont forget to add ; before this variale..

Cheers!

Hi Suresh,

Before start the sapinst, JDK should be installed on the system.

Environment variable need to be set as like below from root...

JAVA_HOME=<JDK installed directory>

and also need to be set the DISPLAY variable like below

DISPLAY=<IP_ADDRESS>:0.0
