value mapping

I am doing an JMS to IDOC.

both the structures are same...but here i have a value mapping..

how can i do it ..in normal case we dont reuire IR part except MI..

but as value mapping is involved...how can we do that...

you will have to involve a mapping and then use value mapping on the field.

Else, architect the scenario in a way that the value transformation is take care by the source or the target.

Value mapping is defined in ID in Menu --> Tools --> Value mapping and used in message mapping in IR.

As value mapping has reusability feature it is defined in ID. So that any Message mapping can use it.

One more option is there Fixed mapping in SAP standared functions. It is only for that specific mapping. It is not reusable.
