SD: Account Groups in Customer Hierarchies

Hi experts,

could someone explain how account group work in Customer Hierarchies.

I mean if I go to OVH2 I have to define for Customer hierarchy type an account group and an Account group for higher-level customer hierarchy.

Could you please specify the relationship about this fields??
