Storage type determination

Hi,

I want to know if the storage type is determined manually or automatically.

Also,at what point the storage type is determined in the system.

Is it at the time of delivery creation or it can be determined at sales order level also?

Hi,

You need to do below customization for automatic pickup of storage type.

Choose Logistics Execution u2192 Warehouse Management u2192 Strategies u2192Activate Storage Type Determination and then choose Determine Search Sequence. Choose New Entries and enter your warehouse number, the operation putaway (indicator E), and your storage location reference. Assign your desired destination storage type. Proceed in the same way for stock removal control

using the operation indicator A. Save your entries.

Storagy Type is a component of warehouse management system and if you have configured WMS and carried out the necessary plant and storage location assignments with it system will automatically pick up

I think you cant manually enter storage type in your sales order or del doc

Hi Ramanathan,

I think the storage location has nothing to do here because it is assigned at a plant level.And storage type is assigned to a warehouse and there can be more than one storage types in a warehouse.

So, my question is that how does the system know to pick which storage type?
