SRM with upgrade of MDM

Hi Experts,

We are planning for upgrade of MDM and would be checking for impact of SRM catalog.

Any Checks posted would be helpful.

Hi,

You can go ahead with MDM upgrade.Before upgradation take few points in consideration.

1.Take the back up of MDM Repository.(Archive it).

2.Follow the upgrade procedure as per guide .

3.After upgrade,unarchive repository.Update it.(version change requires updation).

4.Since WebAS communicates with MDM using sca files which in turn depend on MDM server version u l have to deploy(Undeploy the prevoius files) the sca files(MDMJAVAAPI and SRMMDMCAT )on WebAS again.(refer note 1083126)

5.Also there may be need to change XI and EP settings a bit.

6.After upgrade may be the repository port must have changed ,theses changes have to be reflected in SRM EBP configurations.

Hi,

It is useful for you to go through as you are upgrade MDM with SRM:

you can refer the SAP Note-1083126 for version mapping of SRM-MDM CATALOG 2.0.

and for SRM-MDM CATALOG 1.0 version, you can refer SAP NOTE-1082069
