Shelf life expiration date issue while doing material adjustment

Hi Experts ...

We have uploaded the initial inventory of some material using 561 MVT type and there itself have automatically created the Batches ( as all mtrl are Batch managed).

Batch status mgmt is active in SPRO and in the Material master plant-str view 1 shelf life data is maintained for the material.

Now when I see the batch created using MB1C , the expiration date field is empty.

This causes into an error message "Status management is active. Shelf life exp.date not specified in batch"

while I am doing Material Qty adjusment using LT01 , MVT type 711.

One soln I know is to enter expiration date into BATCH DATA ..... but how can I automatically populate expiration date into batch data at the time of 561 / MB1C itself.

Hi all ...

One soln i could find is remove all SHELF LIFE data from material master then system will not check for Shelf life and will allow me to process the LT01 with Mtype 777.

But there is one question in my mind now .... in a new implemenation when we upload stock with different expiration dates .... how should we do it thru MB1C , as there is no place to enter either prodn date or expiration date.
