Hi,

Can anyone help me with....how to go ahead with transforming the existing clients LETTERS to the forms in SAP?

We need to prepare the detailed design for that. As there can be many forms being used by the user currently, is it possible to manage big number of forms(letters currently) in ISU?if yes, what is the limit? Can you help me with the approach about how to go about this?(to transform letters into SAP forms).

1. First you need to identify the list of existing letters in client's legacy system.

2. Again divide them into module wise like Metering, Billing/Invoicing, FICA etc

3. Again you sub-divide them into parts <<say for FICA you can divide them into Dunning, Returns, Refunds etc>>.

4. ISU has standard application forms...now you map each and every letter against standard forms.

5. Next you identify what all the fields/values are exisiting in legacy letters <<for each letter>>..

6. Now you compare 4 & 5 to find out list of missing fields.

7. Where ever there are list of missing fields, it should have a 'Z' form.

8. Identify your new 'Z' forms from 7 & standard forms from 4.

9. Now your design is ready!!??!!!!

You can manage as many numbers as needed. I do not think there is limit for that.

You can search in T-Code 'EFRM'. You can copy forms for client 000.

Thanks for this well structured reply. Now i could be even more sure that i am going fine as i have already reached till step 5.

Can you telll me the T-code or the way to see the list of all the existing standard forms. And as there could be numerous forms, what is the easiest way to figure out which letter would be mapped to which form (as it would be very much difficult to go through all the existing SAP forms).

Looking to have responses from you in the future as well....

Gaurav,

The T-Code which you need to look into is 'EFRM' <<data base table too is EFRM>>.

If you are first time implementing the ISU, I guess many forms may not be visible in that case you need to copy them from client '000' <<you can take the help of a technical consultant for this else let me know>>.

In T-code EFRM, search for IS_U,* you wud get list of all ISU forms...do remember that there wud be much more...so in that case I'd suggest you to download from client 000 as this holds all the forms what ever SAP supplies.

Coming to your query,

And as there could be numerous forms, what is the easiest way to figure out which letter would be mapped to which form (as it would be very much difficult to go through all the existing SAP forms).

You can easily identify by the name of the form and map it unto legacy letter. Suppose if you see there are 3 letters for an activity, say for Dunning, in that case what you need to do is that copy the existing standard appl form <<IS_U_CA_DUNNING>> and convert them into 'Z' appl forms.
