how to compress tables on MaxDB? could you give a link on some documentation, or some advise. my version is 7.6.04.15
Yes, I have BI system and i wan"t to optimize my database tables to work them faster, to make them smaler, etc... I heard that it is possible in maxdb 7.6.3 .x. but I couldn"t find where i read this and other ))))

What you had in mind was very likely the PACKED storage of Integer values in Facttables.
This together with the page clustering and the FACT/DIMENSION attributes are the core pillars of the BW Feature Pack.
The notes contain all necessary information to implement the BW Featurepack.

The feature pack on BI, I thought was more about stream compression between the BI application and the MAXDB data cache and NOT data compression where actual storage is saved?
What about non-BI systems, for example, where MAXDB is the storage system for SAP content server, can data stored in the SAP CS be compress within MAXDB?
