For witch MI release and for witch devices is RFID available?

Hello Michael,

for MI 2.5 RFID is supported,but as far as i know it depends on the mobile solutions you want to run.

I am also serching for a list for supported mobile RFID-devices.

For MAM25 i know that RFID devices from Psion (netpad with at least 128 MB RAM) are supported.Psion drivers that support the SAP RFID component are avalable for download at: http://www.psionteklogix.com (see SAP-Note 901772)

For MAM Note 734102 describes how to allow clients to employ the RFID functionality. But actually it is not working for me:-(

Hello Frank,

as far as I know only devices form Intermec and Symbol with MI 2.5 SP14.

RFID should be MI-Basis feature.

Did u test it with MAM?

Hello Michael,

no Psion devices are also supported, see Note 723381.

I tried RFID with MAM,but without success at the moment.I get some problems in implementing MRI.

Hello Michael, where did you get your information?

If i look into Release Notes for MAM25(SR 0-3)(773381,786841,848799,901772) it says that Psion devices are supported for using MAM and RFID.

Hardware Restrictions:

"RFID Reader: RFID devices from Psion ...are supported...

When Other vendor's devices become available, will be mentioned in the corresponding release note."

My question is: Are the SAP notes not up to date in this case(Note for SR3 its from Dec2005)? I want to order such a psion device for testing RFID and MAM.

Hello Michael,

for making sure that i didn't order a non supported Device i asked SAP today via OSS if psion devices are supported for running MAM with RFID.Here is the answer:

"Hello Frank Brackmann,

As mentioned in our release note of MAM the RFID

devices from Psion (netpad) are supported."

Perhaps you can do the same for the solution and the device you want to run.

Hope there will be a central SAP Note where you can check supported RFID-Devices in future.

Hi sorry, please wich devices are supported for RFID and MAM25/MI25 Sp18 actually ?

Only these devicea are supported ?

_ PSION NETPAD (discontinued)

_ Intermec IP3

_Symbol MC9060-G

Why Sap indicate only the PSION Netpad as supported in the relevant Oss notes ?
