Functionality working in Development Server but not in Production.

Hi,

I am facing an unusual situation where on selecting an option from dropdown box available

on SAP NetWeaver Application in Production Server leads to a short dump.

But the same functionality when executed on any other server such as Acceptance or Cut-over

is working well.

One more important thing is that,this situation is being faced by only certain users in

Production server.

Can anyone please tell me what would be the possible causes for this??

SHORT DUMP :

Exception condition "LOG_NOT_FOUND" raised.

In the short dump description i am getting that the error is in program 'SAPLBBP_PDH'

include program being 'LBBP_PDHU02' and the Function Module is 'BBP_PD_MSG_ADD' In this FM

the exception 'LOG_NOT_FOUND' is raised.

As far as my investigation goes, i come to know that this exception may be raised only when

the log handler is unable to find the log.

Moreover i am unable to put the breakpoint in Production system as i don't have access to

the front end(Application) in Production.

Hi,

please check if the users on production and development systems have the same roles and authorizations - often development users have SAP_ALL. If this is the case, the problem might occur on the other systems, too.

In addition please check the users with transactions USERS_GEN.

Also check in SU01 the personilization for workflow authorization.
