Multiple orders from one quotation

Hi all,

Is there any possibility in SAP to create multiple orders (va01) from one quotation (VA21). In our system currently, one order is generated from one quotation but user requirement is multiple orders from single quotation. Is this possible? If yes then how?

HI,

Yes, We can create n number of orders from one quatation. For this please configure completion rule in item category VOV7. If u setup this field as B or blank proprly then u will be able to create mulitiple orders from one quatioatn..

completion rule is "B" for quotation item category. is that right?

Check the copy control table (VTAA) at Item level choose item category AGN and go to details, if the "complete reference" checkbox is activated then deactivate it.

in standard SAP ....

there is provision that one can creat multiple sales order from 1 quotation.

Step 1.

Go to /nvov7

control of quotaion...

In Business Data.

make the COMPLETION RULE :- not relevent for completion.

This will make the quotation to be use for multiple sales order creation without any completion of quotation.

Step 2. copy control . /nvtaa

quotation to order

go to item category : AGN

UPDATE DOCUMENT FLOW: Blank

• Blank ( do not create document flow records )

this will not let the doc. update from quotation to sales order.

now u can create multiple sales order from 1 quotation.

i hope this will give u better idea.

Hi

If you select Blank (not relevant for completion) - the quotation can be referenced any number of times until it expires.

Hi,

Yes, u can set it as B in completion rule..

For example if the quation has 100 qunatity and u have created sales order 50 quantity then still u will be able to create one more order for rest of 50 quantity wrf to same quatiation..

Unless u complete entire quantity from quatation till then that quatation will be in open status...

If u dont want to create any more orders for the open quantity in quatation then please reject that open quantity then quatation will be in complete status...

Hi Al.

It is possible to create multiple orders from one quotation.

1.You could create multiple items with quotation.

VA01->create with reference->Enter quotation number->Press Selection List

->then you could choose the item you want to refer without refer to the whole document

2. You could consider the above suggestion to set completion rule in the item category.

Then the status of quotation could be updated with the quantity already refered.
